About the Role
The purpose of this position is to serve as the Director, Division of Financial Management reporting to the Area Executive Director on all management matters pertaining to the overall organization, execution and coordination of the accounting, budgetary and related financial activities and functions of the Indian Health Service components served. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Plan, develop, and supervise the execution of a comprehensive financial management program.
- →Audit vouchers for payment to vendors, consultants, employees, contract facilities, construction contractors, etc.
- →Collect, analyze, code, and enter accounting and financial data into the agency's financial management system to ensure accurate processing and reporting.
- →Coordinate budget activities with division and program managers to develop, prepare, and monitor the financial portions of the organization's operating budget.
- →Direct the preparation of operating manuals, circulars and charts for use in interpreting and implementing budgetary and fiscal policies, methods and procedures for management, subordinate staff and training purposes.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
