About the Role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Management Division will allow you to process financial source documents for payment and records transactions in the financial system. For definitions of terms found in this announcement, please click here.

What You'll Do

  • The selectee will serve as a Financial Management Specialist in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Management Division.
  • Administers complex payment operations involving travel reimbursements, relocation payments, vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, third-party draft payments, and other financial disbursement activities.
  • Confer with managers, supervisors, employees, and other stakeholders to resolve complex and sensitive travel issues, providing authoritative recommendations that may significantly impact agency travel operations.
  • Develops and prepares financial reports, statistical analyses, trend reports, reconciliations, and executive summaries related to payments, travel operations, relocation activities, audit results, and financial performance metrics.
  • Supports audit readiness initiatives and remediation efforts involving internal notices of findings and recommendations, financial statement support, corrective action plans, and internal control documentation.

Requirements

  • Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Tier 5 clearance.

  • For positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying for a position by substituting education or training for experience, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or equivalent.
  • Unofficial transcripts will be accepted that includes your name, the name of the educational institution, course title(s), number of credits, grade, and date of completion.
  • An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
