About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. - A relocation incentive may be authorized. - Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. - Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to the Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Formulate, implement, administer, review and evaluate accounting policy for financial management and accounting operations.
- →Evaluate Defense Finance and Accounting System (DFAS), DHA DCFM, and supporting agency accounting policies and procedures to identify potential audit deficiencies.
- →Present briefings and report as required in support of financial assertion efforts.
- →Assist with implementing the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) accounting system and follow on accounting systems as required.
- →Provide financial administration to improve the quality of financial data over appropriated accounting and financial reporting operations.
