About the Role
You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING OFFICER DIVISION of NAVAVNFCSTCEN.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan, program, budget, coordinate, direct, and establish policy necessary for the provisioning of a broad range of facilities-related services for a diverse workforce.
- →You will supervise the Purchasing Agent for the Government Purchase Card Program for the Command, to include inventory controls, property utilization, and distribution.
- →You will evaluate and initiate changes and improvements to services, analyze effectiveness and economy of services provided, determine the need for additional services, and develop recommendations for improved program operations.
- →You will perform technical review of work requests for the supported facilities.
- →You will perform onsite facility inspections and identify maintenance and repair requirements; prepare work and cost estimates for complete conventional projects of limited scope or portions of large diverse projects.
- →You will oversee the daily facility operations, ensuring all engineering problems are properly reported; maintaining a total maintenance program including equipment inventory, preventive maintenance programs, work reception and customer support.
- →You will develop annual and long-term comprehensive program of facility maintenance and repair for assigned facilities.
- →You will determine the priority for the maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities.
- →You will modify plans as required to respond to changes in material and/or structural conditions, including unpredictable demands for services and the need for unscheduled or emergency maintenance due to worn and overtaxed facilities.
- →You will serve as the Command’s primary point of contact and liaison with Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic Region and installation Public Works officials for all minor construction, repair projects, and housekeeping functions.
