You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the N4 LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of NAVOBSERV.
What You'll Do
- →You will function as the USNO building manager and as such assists the Supply Officer as a liaison between USNO and NAVFAC for building readiness including maintenance, environmental concerns, fire suppression equipment, and security systems.
- →You will serve as the primary liaison between USNO and the Washington Navy Yard fire response team with responsibility including the scheduling of annual fire drills, maintenance on fire suppression systems, and fire extinguisher upkeep.
- →You will assist the N4 department in the conduction of zone inspections and maintenance ticket submittals to ensure consistency across the command.
- →You will be responsible for assisting the N4 department head in coordinating all maintenance and construction projects with NAVFAC and related entities.
- →You will be responsible for writing and executing safety policies for USNO in coordination with the USNO Safety Officer, and applicable scientific department heads.
- →You will attend applicable training held by the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center to assist the USNO Safety Officer.
Requirements
- ✓There is no education substitution for this series/grade combination.
- ✓Additional Information cont'd: The incumbent must achieve and maintain Security Professional Education Development (SpeD) Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Physical Security Certification (PSC), and Antiterrorism Credential (ATC).
- ✓The incumbent will have two years to obtain the certifications if not already possessed.
- ✓The incumbent must complete the following courses with the Naval Safety Training Center: - Safety Managers Course (CIN: A-4J-0019) - Introduction to Naval Safety and Occupational Health (CIN: A-493-0550) - Respiratory Protection Program Management (CIN: A-493-0072) - Introduction to Hazardous Materials Ashore (CIN: A-493-0331)
