Joining the Secret Service, Office of Field Operations, New York Field Office will allow you to monitor and evaluate the functionality of the assigned facility, which includes managing contract services for construction, maintenance, cleaning and repair of the facility. What You'll Do
- →The selectee will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Office of Field Operations, New York Field Office.
- →Typical work assignments include: Serving as an expert analyst in assessing the assigned field office facility maintenance and construction programs effectiveness and the improvement of facility management processes and systems.
- →Developing building operations plans which include conducting inventory of equipment contained in the building; ascertaining which building equipment and/or systems need to be monitored; and scheduling preventative maintenance to be performed on building equipment.
- →Servicing as a Contracting Officer's Representative managing performance of awarded contracts and evaluating contractor performance by assuring compliance with contract requirements throughout the life cycle of the contract.
- →Reviewing Independent Government Estimates for maintenance and repair projects by monitoring project spending, watching for cost overruns and tracking orders and/or intergovernmental service agreements funding costs.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship is required.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Tier 5 clearance.

- ✓Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing and/or walking; and recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching or reaching during daily inspections of office grounds and exposure to a variety of weather.
- ✓Work may require some lifting of heavy equipment weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
- ✓Must possess Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer's Representatives (FAC-COR) Level II Certification upon initial appointment or must be able to obtain certification within 12 months of appointment.
- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
