About the Position: Under the direction of the District Logistics Manager, serve as the Facility Manager for the Norfolk District Corps of Engineers, managing and directing building operations, grounds maintenance, space management, certify and perform Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) duties for the Logistics Management Office.
What You'll Do
- →Develop and coordinate activities and issue instructions on facilities management, utilities/energy conservation, major and minor repairs and construction, and facilities use.
- →Assist the District Logistics Manager in the development of space utilization studies, facility optimization, sustainment strategy and execution.
- →Serve as Logistics Management Office's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) pertaining to the administration of facilities and services contracts.
- →Conduct detailed inspections to determine structural deficiencies, proper use, supervision of service contracts and compliance with public law, federal and state regulations.
- →Act as the point of contact for all facilities and fixed property, and provide guidance on furniture, carpet, draperies, etc. to assure consistency with existing office environment and decor, and overall layout planning.
- →Coordinate moving services including administering contract requirements and obligations in connection with moving services.
- →Oversee contractor employees to ensure contract requirements are met.
Requirements
- ✓ACCREDITATION: Education must be accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education for the education to be credited towards qualifications.
