About the Position: This position is located within the 412th Medical Group, Edwards Air Force Base, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Prepare initial project scopes, descriptions, and justifications for necessary facility modifications when existing infrastructure cannot support valid mission requirements.
- →Manage preventive maintenance, repair, and construction work to sustain safe and reliable operation of patient care buildings, equipment, and utilities.
- →Budget and execute facility management financial programs that often require frequent modifications, additions for new equipment site preparation, and service modifications, while preventing waste and abuse in execution.
- →Coordinate with other base organizations and various federal state and local officials to evaluate policies, procedures, and actual maintenance and repair activities and makes changes necessary for improvement.
- →Support institutional preparation for emergency and disaster response by developing plans for building, equipment, and utility recovery, and ensuring assigned personnel and contractors are trained to carry out emergency actions.
- →Maintain a safe environment and implement systematic processes that identify and eliminate safety hazards to patients, staff, and visitors.
- →Recommend and implement corrective measures when building structures, equipment, maintenance procedures, or aseptic management processes contribute to incidents or hazards.
- →Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
