What You'll Do
- →Serves as the primary business advisor to Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires, Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Maneuver Air, Aviation & Missile Command (AMCOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), Commander, U.S.
- →Space and Missile Defense Command and the Redstone Arsenal Garrison.
- →Advises on the total acquisition process, including policy development, compliance and review, contract pricing, contract management, and associated support.
- →On a routine basis, this SES executes the procurement functions delegated to the SCO supporting these organizations.
- →In addition, this SES has regular public engagements with industry and corporate C-suite members often to negotiate on behalf of the Army's premier modernization and readiness programs.
- →Coordinates procurements with DoW, Defense Pricing, Contracting, & Acquisition Policy, the Army Acquisition Executive (AAE), DCMA, DCAA and DLA senior leaders.
- →In addition, SCO is responsible for staff supervision and management.
- →Manages the overall center's mission within broad policy guidance.
- →Interprets and implements such guidance and higher echelon direction and regulations.
- →Incumbent keeps the CG/DCG informed on status of directorate operations and support to customers.
- →Performance is judged by progress shown in meeting objectives/requirements.
- →Finally, Serves as the Acquisition Career Management Advocate (ACMA) and senior career field leader for the entire ACC-RSA workforce.

Requirements
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be a U.S.
- ✓You will be required to provide proof of U.S.
- ✓Citizenship.
- ✓A one-year SES probationary period may be required unless previously completed.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment when requested to determine suitability.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓You must be able to submit and pass designated and/or Random Drug Testing as required.
- ✓File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report OGE-278e within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
- ✓Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- ✓You must be able to obtain/maintain the appropriate clearance and access level for this position.
- ✓Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- ✓Direct deposit of pay is required.
- ✓The incumbent is required to travel on both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, and other modes as required, under conditions specified under the DoD Joint Travel Regulations.
- ✓The incumbent is expected to travel on short notice to attend high level meetings to obtain resolution of problems and gather information to assist in the decision-making process.
