About the Role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Field Operations will allow you to mange the secured storage areas for field offices and support the integrity of evidence or property management within the district. For definitions of terms found in this announcement, please click here.

What You'll Do

  • The selectee will serve as an Evidence and Property Officer in the Office of Field Operations.
  • Typical work assignments include: Managing the intake, processing, storage, and release of personal, evidentiary, abandoned, and recovered contraband obtained for criminal investigations.
  • Advising all personnel requiring access or use of the secured storage area of the appropriate procedures to submit or retrieve items from the vault.
  • Managing the accountable property program activities, to include the purchase, delivery, receipt, payment, inventory, distribution, disposition, repair, and inspection of all property items.
  • Maintaining data and tracking evidence or property using computerized control systems; auditing evidence stores; and overseeing all evidentiary disposal/destruction activities.

Requirements

  • Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Tier 5 clearance.
