The primary responsibilities are to assist patients by escorting them to various locations within the facility to include but not limited to the Urgent Care Center, Radiology, local Vet-Tran stops, or their vehicles. Additionally, the Selectee will be required to transport lab specimen and to positively interact with our patients and customers.
What You'll Do
- →Escort patients to various locations throughout the facility, including personal vehicles.
- →Transport lab specimens to appropriate lab or destination within the Healthcare System.
- →Appropriately clean reusable medical equipment utilized by patients, staff, and visitors.
- →Communicate by telephone, computer and two-way radio in order to coordinate the smooth transfer of patients.
- →Works and communicates with employees and customers to satisfy their expectations.
- →Effectively and appropriately respond to customer's requests and needs, determining those of an urgent matter.
- →General knowledge of the Healthcare System's organizations, functions, activities, and physical layout.
- →Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude and professional appearance while supporting the mission and vision of the organization.
- →Collect basic information from patients such as name, and clinic appointment and time for site roster.
- →Demonstrates a commitment to public service; holds self accountable for quality outcomes.
- →Appropriate use and maintenance of 2 way radio and transport equipment (i.e. wheelchairs, staxis, strykers, beds and stretchers) Work Schedule: Full-time Monday- Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm; subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
