You will serve as an ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT OFFICE of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. SALARY GS-9: $80,260 - $99,596 GS-7: $65,613 - $81,418
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the Program Manager for environmental subject matter areas.
- →You will recommend to management how to incorporate/integrate existing, new and changing environmental requirements into the Command's processes and procedures.
- →You will represent the command at meetings both internally and externally.
- →You will review technical work documents and process instructions for compliance with environmental policies and guidance.
- →You will conduct assessments, inspections, surveillance and audit shipyard facilities and operations to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Navy and local environmental protection requirements.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
