This vacancy is for a GS - 0819 - 13, Environmental Engineer located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, FACILITIES DESIGN and CONSTRUCTION CENTER-SEATTLE WA in SEATTLE, Washington.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Environmental Engineer and be responsible for assuring environmental technical adequacy of plans, designs, and specifications.
- →Advises on the interpretation, implementation, and compliance with environmental policy, directives, and programs on federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations for new construction and major renovation projects managed by the command.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Managing environmental program documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure stakeholder compliance.
- →Managing environmental planning and document development to ensure SILC projects comply with NEPA and regulatory mandates.
- →Monitoring project progress against environmental standards while providing technical support and guidance to execution personnel.
- →Managing the lifecycle of environmental projects, including scoping, cost estimating, contractor oversight, deliverables review, and administrative support.
- →Managing Coast Guard contaminated sites and environmental liabilities through investigations, remediation, and regulatory compliance.
