About the Role
You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR) in the Production Resources Department, Nuclear Production Manager's Office, Code 300N of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will analyze engineering specifications, drawings, and work plans, establishing detailed production repair for the reactor plant area on an assigned shift.
- →You will plan material, manpower, and special equipment requirements for conversion and/or repair of nuclear submarine reactor plant.
- →You will observe work in progress to ensure that safe radiological practices are followed, correcting immediately all radiological deficiencies.
- →You will ensure proper manning levels to accomplish scheduled work and as necessary reschedule manpower requirements.
- →You will review technical work documents for workability on the waterfront.
- →You will provide technical assistance to projects and resource shops as necessary to ensure quality and timeliness of completed work.
