This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Position is with: US ARMY IMCOM JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC WORKS OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE DIVISION BLDG&GROUND BR, ROADS
What You'll Do
- →Operate a variety of sizes and types of dump trucks and trucks with special attachments such as the sander and vac-all.
- →Inspect approximately 30 miles of track on Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), including trestles, bridges, crossings and culverts for loose, worn or missing spikes, nails, ties and switches.
- →Operate a street sweeper to clean JBLM streets not covered by contract.
- →Operate a patching truck for repair of asphalt.
- →Operate a variety of heavy equipment, such as front-end loader, grader, bulldozer, to push, pull, pile and load earth, sand, gravel, clear brush, back fill, grade roads, plow snow and dig trenches.
