About the Position: As an Engineer Equipment Operator, you will perform vital maintenance for the Garrison Dam, Reservoir, and Missouri River areas. You will operate light and heavy machinery (up to 40-ton cranes) and navigate workboats to support flood control, road repair, and bank stabilization.
What You'll Do
- →Operates light and heavy equipment including but not limited to mobile cranes, truck/trailer combinations, dump trucks, wheel loaders, skid-steers, agricultural tractors, excavators, and dozers.
- →Operates mobile and/or crawler cranes up to 40 ton with attachments.
- →Guards against overturning equipment when working on edges of embankments.
- →Operation of equipment requires coordination of controls governing motive power of equipment plus controls operating attachments.
- →Operates, navigates, and is responsible for maintenance of several types of boats and floating equipment on the Missouri River and at dam site.
- →Performs routine maintenance, required adjustments, and emergency field repairs on vehicles or equipment.
- →Performs welding, both acetylene and electric, as needed in the repair of vehicles, trailers, tractors, hitches and various other items of equipment and materials utilized in the maintenance of project areas.
