About the Role
You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department (MX), Advanced Emso Applied Research & Rapid Capabilities Division (MXN), Intelligence Systems Branch (MXNP) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $163,514).
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the overarching Senior Program Integrator and authoritative Subject Matter Expert (SME) bridging technical and programmatic execution.
- →You will serve as a primary agent for organizational advancement, pioneering and directing strategic initiatives to enhance SIGINT and ISR capabilities for Special Operations Forces.
- →You will drive the full lifecycle of complex, niche technical programs from conception through USSOCOM J8-O validation and deployment.
- →You will provide executive-level leadership, orchestration, and mentorship to cross-functional teams of government, civilian, and industry personnel.
- →You will foster a culture of scientific rigor, continuous process optimization, and professional growth.
- →You will exercise senior-level operational oversight by directing all programmatic resources, funding, and full lifecycle financial management.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
