You will serve as a CONSTRUCTION MANAGER in the PLANNING, DESIGN, AND CONSTRUCTION DIRECTORATE of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for the enforcement of all technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts.
- →You will act as the technical representative in matters involving contract modifications and claims.
- →You will function as senior engineer/architect and provide expert construction engineering and management advisory services to all activities and tenants served by the Facilities Engineering Command (FEC).
- →You will be responsible for final approval of designs of major structures and facilities involving public safety.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess If you are applying for the 801 (General Engineering) - You must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering.
- ✓YOU MUST SUBMIT A COMPLETE COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS.
- ✓OR Have a combination of college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture, and a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the architectural principles, methods, and techniques and their applications to the design and construction or improvement of buildings.
- ✓In the absence of college courses, 5 years of such experience is required.
- ✓This experience must have demonstrated that the applicant has acquired a thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles and theories of professional architecture.
