This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama, just off Interstate 20.
What You'll Do
- →Dispatches firefighting apparatus, ambulances, and rescue equipment.
- →Monitors and initiates action for alarms from fire alarm computer systems.
- →Ability to communicate effectively.
- →Answers and screens 911 emergency calls and related inquiries related to activities of the emergency organization.
- →Maintain call logs and incident reports using standard computer programs.
- →Complies statistical data reports, charts, or records.
- →Complete continuing educational units that are required to maintain Emergency Medical Dispatch and CPR certifications.
