If selected you will provide deliberate and crisis-action planning support for NWS within the organization. You'll be responsible for the coordination and production of plans and assessments supporting continuity programs, aviation operations, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- →The duties may include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the coordination, evaluation, and management of the NWS aviation operations preparedness, management, program development aviation operations, and continuous improvement.
- →Conduct functional assessments and analysis, prepare memos, make oral presentations, and submit written reports of aviation operations to the Chief of NWS Operations and NWS Directorate Leadership.
- →Provides guidance and facilitates assistance to organizational elements external to the directorate regarding planning issues.
- →Serves on special projects and executive working groups and provides input and expertise in the areas of operational planning, aviation, continuous improvement, and continuity support.
- →Identifies resources required to perform hazard and risk assessments to proactively address the challenges of emerging animal and plant health situations.
- →Oversees NWS aviation planning, preparedness, and response activities to ensure compliance with applicable directives.
