This position is located at the West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring, Texas serving as a Facility Program Manager. You will be responsible for managing the health care system in sustaining national and regional support to the Comprehensive Emergency Management Program (CEMP).
What You'll Do
- →The Emergency Management Specialist (EMS) is a high-profile position requiring daily interaction with the highest levels of medical center leadership, the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN), VHA, the VHA Office of Emergency Management (OEM), and community stakeholders.
- →The EMS works with the VISN in coordinating and administering duties required to execute the roles and responsibilities under the VA's national level partners, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as well as federal, state, and local agencies in the public and private sector.
- →Work Schedule: Typical tour of duty is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm but may be adjusted due to needs of the facility Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements

- ✓The following requirements must be met: distant vision 20/40 in one eye with or without correction, field of vision 70 degrees, ability to distinguish red, green and amber, whispered voice at five feet, or average hearing loss of not greater than 40 dbs. at 500, 1000 and 2,000 Hz.
