About the Role
Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Emergency Management Specialist. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Sacramento, California This is not a remote position.
What You'll Do
- →Provides technical guidance and oversight on region-wide emergency management programs, plans, procedures, and activities, and maintains compliance with Bureau directives and standards.
- →Utilizes the Incident Command System, National Incident Management System (NIMS), Federal Continuity and guidelines, and Bureau Directives and Standards in planning and preparing for all-hazard incidents.
- →Develops and conducts drills, seminars, and emergency exercises in coordination with Area Offices and agency partners to strengthen preparedness capabilities and interagency coordination during incidents.
- →Utilizes and maintains regional access and use of emergency telecommunications equipment and delivery systems to ensure interoperability and support continuity of operations.
- →Coordinates and guides emergency exercise planning process utilizing HSEEP principles; develops exercise documents, conducts exercise planning meetings, activities, and exercises in coordination with Area Offices and agency partners; and conducts emergency exercise and incident hotwashes and After-Action Reviews to determine lessons learned and corrective actions.
