This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and -operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
What You'll Do
- →Works on highly complex systems of electronic sensing, control located in the chrome plating and metalizing machining center.
- →Assist a journeyman Electroplater in preparing to plate, coat, and treat cannon tubes and components, tools, and fixtures by immersion in a series of chemical or electrolytic solutions.
- →Monitor the settings on the control generator for proper voltage and time cycle per instructions.
- →Monitor density settings and controls and the rectifier with a higher graded Electroplater, leader or supervisor.
