You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF. GS - 10 PAY: $76,395-$99,308 GS - 11 PAY: $83,935-$109,122
What You'll Do
- →You will provide technical assistance on urgent mission-degrading CASREPs or similar problems affecting major systems.
- →You will communicate with ship's officers, exercising leadership, tact, and persuasion to influence and control corrective actions to be taken.
- →You will resolve complex problems in assigned systems and equipment while often under pressure for rapid results to meet operational schedules.
- →You will provide skilled technical support to ships operating in the Pacific Ocean area, Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf and other locations as assigned.
- →You will be required to investigate/resolve specific problems and provide a final field test documentation for elimination of the problems.
- →You will provide on-board technical assistance, troubleshooting, repair, and training for advanced shipboard network architecture, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and associated communications systems aboard naval ships You will perform routine testing, diagnostics, and repairs on localized shipboard network nodes, workstations, and peripheral equipment.
