About the Role
You will serve as ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN for shipboard High Frequency (HF) Systems in the C5I SYSTEMS DIVISION CODE C290, C200 Department of NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide technical and engineering services in the performance, operation, maintenance, Depot Level repair and modernization, system testing/certification and Fleet Technical Support to Forward Deployed Naval Forces shipboard HF Systems.
- →You will serve as a technical specialist for the AN/URC-131 HF Radio Group (HFRG), AN/URT-23 High Frequency Transmitting Set and associated equipment i.e., AN/USC-61 Digital Modular Radio (DMR) High Frequency Distribution Amplifier Group (HFDAG).
- →You will resolve technical problems to all variants of HF systems installed on board forces afloat units, to include fault isolation, assessments, and guidance on clear paths to resolution.
- →You will also serve as expert supporting HF exterior communications systems, equipment and components which requires comprehensive knowledge of systems design, purpose, functions, limitations, operation performance, safety parameters, etc.

- ✓Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
- ✓Military Spouses and Family Members may apply 30 days before their anticipated arrival date.
- ✓However, they will not receive preference until arrival at the foreign location.
- ✓Additional documentation may be required prior to granting preference.
- ✓Military spouses and family members who are appointed may not extend longer than 2 months following the transfer of the sponsor from the commuting area of the foreign duty station; 2 months beyond the separation of the appointee's sponsor; or any time beyond the time employee ceases to be a family member.
