Serves as Team Lead and principal technical specialist for electronic practices and procedures. As the team lead, directs and assigns work of team members, approves emergency and short term leave up to three days, provides input to employee performance and/or conduct and discipline issues, sets team priorities, assigns tasks, coaches and develops employees.
What You'll Do
- →Performs work of broad scope and complexity on NAS systems.
- →Provides the highest organizational level of technical support associated with analyzing, designing, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying, or evaluating the most complex systems for which the FAA is responsible and to NAS customers.
- →Applies comprehensive knowledge of complex electronic techniques, theories and characteristics to lead and perform assigned work.
- →Applies broad experience and comprehensive technical knowledge of assigned disciplines, specialties and understanding of new technologies and methods and FAA policies and programs.
- →Is considered a technical expert within the organization for the assigned system or specialty area.
- →Work directly supports the objectives of the organization and the safe and continual operation of the NAS.
- →Contacts are both internal and external.
- →Often represents the organization as a primary technical point of contact on multiple projects, programs, and other work activities to coordinate and implement plans or to obtain information and resolve problems.
- →Coordinates with other organizations and agencies concerned with FAA activities.
- →Often oversees the activities of contractors.
- →Receives general program assignments from a supervisor or higher level manager.
- →Assignments are stated in terms of priorities, overall objectives, and boundaries.
- →Completed assignments are considered technically authoritative and are reviewed only for general compliance with organizational objectives.
- →Identifies resources needed to perform assignments.
