The primary purpose of this position is to maintain, install, modify and repair Radar, Airfield and Weather Systems (RAWS) supporting test ranges and the National Airspace System. Maintains Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD) system supporting National Weather Service and affiliated sites.
What You'll Do
- →Certifies all assigned systems and sub systems to ensure concurrence with USAF and FAA established standards and safety requirements.
- →Determines when equipment malfunctions warrant shutdown of various systems.
- →Maintains inspection and certification records as required by technical orders, applicable regulations, and operating instructions.
- →Provides technical guidance, training and assistance to other technicians in all phases of job performance.
- →Utilizes safety practices and procedures in performing assigned work by following established safety rules and regulations.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.
