This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a position as an Electronic Mechanic (Motor Vehicle Operator) with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security Training Division, Fort Leonard Wood, MO This is a term appointment not to exceed 2 years.
What You'll Do
- →Performs complex Range Maintenance operations to include electronical, mechanical, soldering and equipment operations which includes designing and fabricating unique training targets and devices.
- →Works on equipment such as target training devices such as very high frequency transmitters and receivers, target interface unit, small arms noise-flash simulators.
- →Evaluates fault reports to determine if an item should be returned to repair section or if repair or adjustment can be made so testing can continue.
- →Resets all items after repairs are completed to ensure that they can pass the diagnostic test without error.
