About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Fort Campbell with the Directorate of Public Works.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as an Electronics Mechanic (Fire Alarm Systems) under the supervision of the Electrical Systems Supervisor for Department of Public Works.
- →Installs, maintains, trouble-shoots, adjusts, repairs and/or replaces all complex electronic equipment and operational systems such as Fire Alarm System, Fire Detection Systems, Central Monitoring Control Systems, and Mass Notification Systems.
- →Programs fire alarm systems, control panels, electronic devices, circuit modules, etc. with laptop computers using multiple types of software and operating systems.
- →Performs installation and maintenance with overlap skill areas in wire communications, electrical control devices, fire detection systems, emergency power, and critical control systems.
- →Installs conduit and wiring systems during installation of fire alarm systems, including connection to main electrical panels.
