About the Role
This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1204000 and is part of the NJ CSMS 1, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to perform field and sustainment maintenance and repair on moderately complex electronics equipment and systems.
What You'll Do
- →As a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC, WG-2604-10, you will: Troubleshoot carrier electrical and power distribution system components of the weapon system or equipment being repaired.
- →Provide technical assistance and instruction to units throughout the state so that they will be able to operate at the desired level of proficiency.
- →Perform administrative functions in establishing and maintaining maintenance records on equipment maintained or repaired.
- →Remove and replace defective electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
- →Conduct inspection, diagnose nature and extent of equipment malfunction.
- →Replace faulty component on UUT printed circuit boards and power distribution systems.
- →Install and applies equipment modifications when directed.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- ✓MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
- ✓This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.
- ✓Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- ✓Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- ✓Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments.
- ✓Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.
