The primary purpose of this position is to maintain ongoing prototype systems; implement maintenance and repair procedures on major modifications of systems assigned to the activity; may operate and maintain complex computerized automated test equipment in the troubleshooting and repair of line replaceable units (LRUs).
What You'll Do
- →Maintains ongoing prototype systems; implements maintenance and repair procedures on major modifications of systems assigned to the activity; and maintains unusually complex systems that have frequent engineering changes.
- →Sets up and operates complex software controlled automated test equipment (ATE) to troubleshoot and repair prototype systems; systems on which major modifications have been made; and unusually complex systems that have frequent engineering change.
- →Uses and maintains hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, soldering irons, and micro soldering units.
- →Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- →Keeps abreast of new and emerging state of the art and state of the market technologies.
- →Documents work assignments through the use of AFTO Form 781 series and Core Automated Maintenance Systems (CAMS) computer terminals.
