The primary purpose of this position, ELECTRONICS MECHANIC, WG-2604-10 is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components and electronics equipment of moderate complexity or a system of limited capacity.
What You'll Do
- →Install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment of moderate complexity or a system of limited complexity.
- →Set up and operate software controlled automatic test equipment (ATE) to test and troubleshoot various components and assemblies of electronic equipment.
- →Use and maintain hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, soldering irons, and microsoldering units.
- →Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- →Document work assignments through the use of the appropriate forms and the computer data system.
