This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2291000 and is part of the AASF, with the Utah Army National Guard. IAW UTNGR 690-12 dated AUG 2022, Priority will be given to all current, onboard employees of the UTARNG. The selecting supervisor for this vacancy is Jade Cowley.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties: This is not an all-inclusive list As a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), WS-2610-12, you will: Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations.
- →Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies.
- →Determines skills, materials and equipment required to do the work.
- →Participates in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests.
- →Provides workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as the scheduling of projected work.
- →Assigns tasks to be performed.
- →Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.
- →Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas.
- →Reviews work in progress or on completion.
- →Makes adjustments as necessary to effectively and economically accomplish the work.
- →Notes and investigates work related problems and independently implements corrective actions which can be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors.
- →Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies.
- →Schedules and approves leave of subordinates.
- →Sets performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
Requirements
- ✓MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
- ✓This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
- ✓Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.
- ✓If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
- ✓Military Membership in the Utah National Guard is required.
- ✓Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Pending analysis, you may be required to complete a new 1-year probationary period when moved to this position IAW CNGBI 1400.25.
- ✓For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license.
- ✓Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- ✓Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire.
- ✓Soldiers who accept a technician position may be terminated from the Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).
- ✓Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- ✓This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- ✓An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
