This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: to remove, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
- →DUTY 1: Removes, installs, modifies, overhauls, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, aligns, calibrates, and rebuilds multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
- →DUTY 2: Performs pretest, operational (functional), or final testing of electronic systems, components, or subassemblies.
- →DUTY 3: Advises engineering personnel on the operation and maintenance effects of proposed Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) and/or modifications on new or existing equipment.
- →DUTY 4: Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work area.
- →DUTY 5: Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training.
- →Complies with required instruction, guidance and/or training and provides instruction, guidance and training to others while maintaining personal qualifications.
