This ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC position, is located within an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Avionics Element, Avionics Shop, Communications/Navigation/ECM, or Guidance and Control shop and is part of the CA 146 AW.
What You'll Do
- →THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION.
- →The primary purpose of the ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-12/13, is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
- →The worker in this career field must demonstrate the ability to perform on- or off-equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems.
- →May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
Requirements
- ✓CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard.
- ✓Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- ✓Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

- ✓Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity.

- ✓WG-12: 2A051, 2A251, 2A252, 2A253, 2A354, 2A355, 2A851, 2A852, 2A951, 2A952, 2A953, 2A954.
- ✓WG-13: 2A071, 2A271, 2A272, 2A273, 2A374, 2A375, 2A871, 2A872, 2A971, 2A972, 2A973, 2A974.
- ✓Non-PAFSC/DAFSC applicants are encouraged to apply for the positions if experience is held, however must become compatible before appointment.
- ✓Priority Areas(s) of Consideration: Priority consideration is first given to the areas below.
- ✓AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment.
- ✓AREA II= Current California National Guard members.
- ✓AREA III= Current military members of the Air Force/Army National Guard, Air Force/Army Reserve or Air Force/Army Active Duty.
- ✓(Applicants who are currently in other Air/Army branches and NOT currently a member of the California National Guard (CNG) must become a member of a compatible unit of assignment within the Air Force CNG commensurate with the military grade listed in this announcement prior to federal assignment).
