The employee serves as Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic of the Engineering Service at the CW Bill Young VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, Florida and reports to the Equipment Shop Supervisor. The purpose of the position is to install,repair, modify, evaluate and perform preventative maintenance and in-service training of complex electronically controlled equipment and systems at the CW Bill Young Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
What You'll Do
- →Duties of the position include but are not limited to: 1.
- →Interpreting engineering drawings and schematics for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic/vacuum systems. 2.
- →Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, modifying, and repairing multiple systems throughout the hospital for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic tube and medical gas. 3.
- →Perform inspections and planned maintenance on compressors, vacuum pumps, desiccant systems, med gas outlets, and valving. 4.
- →Operate computer-controlled systems to diagnose issues and reset systems to normal operations. 5.
- →Maintain kitchen equipment including electrical, steam, and water systems, and high-pressure cleaners. 6.
- →Perform installation of electrical components for A/C and D/C low voltage, A/C 120 volts and three phases up to 480 volts. 7.
- →Installation of Air, Oxygen, & Vacuum system piping using brazing techniques and PVC piping.
