This position is located within the Facilities Management Service of the VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System in Aurora, CO. The incumbent serves as an independent facility electronic specialist primary to energy management and HVAC computerized systems, including the Johnson Controls Metasys System, and performs equipment evaluations, programming, installation, operation verification, calibrations, and training on highly technical electronic systems.
What You'll Do
- →Work Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (schedule subject to change after training) Position Description Title/PD#: Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic/PD13207A Physical Requirements: Frequently carries equipment that weighs up to 50 pounds.
- →Hoists, holders, and pulleys are operated when removing units such as large compressors, condensers, and chillers.
- →Makes repairs and installation on ladders, scaffolding, and platforms where the parts of systems worked on are frequently in hard-to reach places, therefore, frequent stretching, bending, kneeling for long periods of time.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
