You will serve as an ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC in the LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT, CRANE MAINTENANCE DIVISION of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify, and test complex electronic industrial control systems and related devices used to control industrial machinery, support equipment, environmental systems, and process operations.
- →You will diagnose system failures involving interrelationships among electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and controls.
- →You will update or annotate local maintenance records or work documentation as required by shop practice.
- →You will perform operational, functional, and performance testing after installation, repair, calibration, or modification to verify proper operation of the control system and integration with connected equipment/processes.
