You will serve as a ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the Electrical Division (Code 270) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide technical direction for electrical engineering requirements on surface ship/submarine electrical systems for all non-nuclear support in connection with modernization, maintenance, repair, overhaul, conversion, and etc.
- →You will provide worldwide Fleet Technical Support (FTS) for our fleet in the form of inspections/assessments, analysis, repair recommendations and technical adjudication in order to support the strategic and tactical needs of the Navy and Country.
- →You will conduct independent engineering studies, investigations, research, and analysis for the solution of unusual or unprecedented engineering problems or in support of short or long-term engineering projects on assigned ships.
- →You will serve as the Branch POC for critiques and trouble reports.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
