About the Position: As a Dredge Equipment Operator assigned to the Dredge Jadwin, the incumbent will be serve as a backup to the Equipment Operator. Observe the dredge's computerized positioning system, closed circuit television, and main dredge pump vacuum and pressure; manipulates electric hydraulic controls operate two winches to regulate advance of dredge.
What You'll Do
- →Enters information into computer program to determine cut length, alignment and new setups.
- →This requires constant monitoring of the computer screen and the gauges and controls associated with the operation of the dredge pump and winches.
- →Troubleshoot system and makes necessary adjustments or corrections to bring system back on line so the dredge can continue to work.
- →Monitor the computer screen and the gauges and controls associated with the operation of the dredge pump and winches.
- →Determine when suction head should be cleaned from readings on vacuum gages.
