What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will serve as a Docketing Technician (Office Automation) for the United States Attorney's Office, District of Nebraska.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Receiving visitors to the USAO and refers each visitor to the appropriate staff member.
- →In accordance with office policy, determines the need and arranges for an escort for visitors.
- →Distributing mail to appropriate staff members.
- →Developing and maintaining automated records from initial referral to final disposition and case file closure.
- →Receiving inquiries on case status.
- →Retrieving information using routine queries from hard copy reports.
- →Exercising confidentiality, tact, discretion and judgement in determining what information may be properly released.
- →Integrating output from different software types (e.g., tables produced by applications and charts and graphs produced by electronic spreadsheet applications) into work processing or desktop publishing text.
- →Developing local docketing training and activities and materials.
- →Advising other docketing personnel on unique or complex cases or situations.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
