The primary purpose of this position is: To exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Headquarters 12 AF (Air Forces Southern), Manpower, Personnel, and Services Directorate (A1).
What You'll Do
- →Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Twelfth Air Force, Air Forces Southern Command, A1 Directorate.
- →Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization, civilian/ military personnel, and Manpower, Personnel, and Services in support of 12 AF (AFSOUTH), USSOUTHCOM and ACC's objectives.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
- →Represents the Twelfth Air Force, Air Forces Southern Command with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with 2-star Commander, 4-star Combatant Commander, HAF, ACC, AFPC, AF Guard and Reserve Units, and USSOUTHCOM's components.
- →Performs ongoing evaluation and analysis of the operational planning and execution actions, and policy actions in support of major Air Force missions and COCOM/operational and long range planning for 12 AF (AFSOUTH) units, staff, and outside organizations.
- →Requires significant depth of joint/combined military operations, joint/combined planning, and leadership experience; extensive formal training on US command and control of joint/combined.
