This position is located within the Division of Administrative & Emergency Services (DAES), Office of Management Services (OMS), Headquarters, Indian Health Service, Department of Health and Human Services, Rockville, Maryland. The incumbent serves as the Director and provides administrative direction, supervision, support, coordination and evaluation for the DAES and its programs, branches and personnel. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Designated as the Agency Coordinator for the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) program and provides leadership and coordination in the planning, developing, operation, and evaluation of HSPD-12 for IHS Headquarter and Area Offices.
- →Explains performance expectations to subordinate supervisors and employees directly supervised and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses.
- →Adheres to and advocates the requirements of the IHS Diversity Management/Equal Employment Opportunity (DM/EEO) guidelines.
- →Plans, directs and coordinates a comprehensive IHS Administrative & Emergency Services program.
- →Sets goals and objectives for the Administrative & Emergency Services Programs and branches.
- →Exercises responsibility for formulating, analyzing, developing, implementing and evaluating policies, regulations, procedures, forms, records, directives, reports, charts, schedules, and other materials.
- →Directs and coordinates an Office Services support program Administers physical security, facility management, space management services, real property and General Services Administration (GSA) lease management, telecommunication services, parking management, the employee credentialing program, and the employee transit subsidy program.
- →Provides oversight in the development of policies, procedures, and practices governing the administration of all mail management activities.
- →Provides administrative leadership and direction in advising senior IHS leadership and IHS Area and Program Directors on policy and procedural matters.
Requirements
