What You'll Do
- →You will assess and analyze dietary practices, body composition, and energy intake and expenditures of Marine athletes in the context of operational performance and health.
- →You will develop and deliver nutrition education related to supplementation that complies with the Department of Defense (DoD) dietary supplement program.
- →You will develop and deliver nutrition education presentations, demonstrations, or events on topics related to nutrition for performance.
- →You will implement standardized nutrition education with a focus on optimal nutrition recovery from illness or injury and ensure Semper Fit protocols are followed.
- →You will create performance-based digital and educational content such as articles, social media messages, and webinars, and partner with marketing teams to develop resources for public distribution aboard the installation.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet one of the following requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Basic Requirement: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in the fields of dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, institution management, or related science.
- ✓The educational program must have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics(external link) (ACEND), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
- ✓My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
