About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency located at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, TX. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for outpatient clients referred to from the Military Medical Treatment Facility and establish nutrition-related chronic disease management protocols.
- →Adopt and implement appropriate clinical practice guidelines and protocols and coordinate implementation, integration, and process improvement with Primary Care and Specialty Care Clinics, as appropriate.
- →Develop, implement, and individualize plans for nutrition intervention in accordance with the client’s medical/personal goals, diagnosis, and self-management potential.
- →Conduct patient education, both on an individual basis and through group classes.
- →Develop, coordinate, and market programs to target populations and health care delivery system for optimal participation and improved health outcomes.
