The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist will be the primary person in charge of outside imaging being uploaded in to patient's chart. Will interface with personal computer (PC) applications as well as numerous Vista and CPRS applications. The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for aspects of the quality assurance program for CAVHS/V16 TRC.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties: Assists with the database, archiving, training, program management, ADPAC application.
- →Assists with technical and administrative duties such as: equipment and space needs, utilization; policy, procedure, and goal development; and oversight of all quality assurance programs associated with these systems.
- →Work in close coordination with the Radiology Administrator, Biomedical engineering and PACS specialists regarding all systems training, maintenance, and quality assurance monitoring required by the system.
- →Assist with training for department Radiologists.
- →Works as a team member with CAVHS PACS administrators to develop continual upgrades, programs, and capabilities to the PACS system, utilizing knowledge of imaging modalities, devices, configurations, and optimum requirements of the PACS systems as needed in a radiological environment.
- →Serve as a PACS Assistant and interpreter of the software package designed for the service, working with IRMS to modify, install, and upgrade applications for the system.
- →Test upgrades and implement training for all users involved.
- →Provides troubleshooting with all PACS equipment makes minor, and some major, repairs if possible and represents the service management in coordinating service and repair with Biomedical engineering and/or OIT where needed.
- →This includes equipment housed at the facility as well as equipment used by physicians who work virtually.
- →Install commercial PACS on OIT equipment across facility/CBOCs where applicable.
- →Management of Community Care Imaging Exams in the PACS/HIS system. a.
- →Ensure all images/reports are appropriately entered and maintained.
- →Perform regular review of all Community Care imaging exams.
- →Coordinates with outside facilities to ensure timely receipt of exams/reports.
