About the Position: This position is located in the Urology Department and Stone Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Hours are from 0700-1600, M-F. Employee must be available for duty most of the clinic day, but options to adjust schedule are available. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Independently perform complex radiographic procedures.
- →Make exposure and process radiographs using Digital Imaging systems and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) to process the images.
- →Review all radiographs for diagnostic quality prior to interpretation by the radiologist.
- →Maintain records for the department by entering data into the computer system.
- →Explain the examination and discuss instructions with the patient.
- →Prepare the patient, set up the imaging suite and equipment, and prepare contrast material for administration.
- →Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- →Perform portable radiographic imaging in the operating room with demonstrated knowledge of ICU and operating room experience.
