About the Position: Incumbent will serve as Radiologic Diagnostic Technologist to perform a range of radiologic procedures from routine to complex for the Directorate of Clinical Support Services at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and its outlying clinics. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Prepare patient, explain the procedure, set up the imaging suite and equipment, prepare the contrast material for administration.
- →Independently perform a variety routine to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures.
- →Maintain flow of patients in and out of the radiology department by matching images to requests.
- →Perform radiographic examinations of the skull, chest, pelvis, spine, and abdomen, upper and lower extremities on patients.
- →Review all radiograph imaging performed in the department for diagnostic quality prior to interpretation by the radiologist.
- →Administer contrast under the supervision of the attending physician.
- →Explain the examination and instructions with the patient.
