About the Position: This position is located at McDonald Army Health Center, Directorate of Clinical Support, Department of Radiology. The purpose of the position is to serve as a Mammography Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Review of procedural schedule to determine appropriate imaging modality and positioning.
- →Set up and operation of equipment such as radiographic imaging systems, mammography compact disk creating systems.
- →Perform a complex and diverse array of screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
- →Ensure compliance with American College of Radiology (ACR), Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines for mammography accreditation.
- →Collect, file, and maintain documentation related to the performance of mammograms and resulting studies.
