About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network East. It is located at the Martin Army Community Hospital located on Fort Benning, Georgia. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Perform mammography for periodic, baseline, and symptomatic examinations for out-patients.
- →Receive patients, explain methods of exams, position patient and make adjustments necessary for the required examination.
- →Performing and documenting daily processor quality control (QC) steps prior to clinical images being processed.
- →Perform all required mammography QC tests according to ACR guidelines.
- →Assist in the performance of breast biopsies.
- →Perform daily and monthly cleaning of processors and constantly ensure adequate maintenance of chemicals.
- →Counsel patients after the procedure, watch for immediate complications and discharge patient with written and oral instructions.
- →Be able to perform technical duties with the Mammography Reporting System, Electronic Health System, and PACS.
- →As well as assisting with administrative, mandatory training, and front desk duties as needed.
